Scholarships at Mission
Mission College offers a variety of scholarships ranging from $50 to several thousand dollars per year. Eligibility may vary based on fields of study, community and/or college involvement, and/or financial need.
All continuing Mission College students and new students, including graduating high school students, and transferring students may apply.

Stronger Together / Shared Mission Campaign
Refer a friend or family member today!
We all achieve more together. That’s a fact of life and the Mission way. Mission College students who recruit a friend to Mission College could be eligible for $100.
Details:
- The referred student must enroll in at least 3 units by Saturday, January 14, 2023, and persist through census on February 13, 2023.
- The referred student must not have been enrolled at Mission or West Valley colleges for the Fall 2022 semester.
- The referring student must be currently enrolled in Spring 2023 classes at Mission College to receive their award.
- This incentive is limited to the first 100 participants.
- Stronger Together awards will be disbursed by February 24, 2023.

- Continuing students receive $100 & new students are eligible for the Mission Launch Scholarship
- Research shows peer to peer support leads to higher college success & graduation rates
- Holistic support from the Mission Cares program and committed staff
The Mission Launch Scholarship (No application required, just enroll)
You have big goals. Finding money to pay for college shouldn’t be one of them. With a few easy steps, you could earn free tuition AND get money to help pay your bills.
Details:
- Enroll in minimum of 6 units this Winter or Spring semester at Mission College
- Apply for financial aid
- Be a CA resident/eligible for non-resident tuition waiver
- Persist to census date on February 13, 2023
- Students currently enrolled within WVMCCD for the Fall 2022 semester are not eligible for the Mission Launch Scholarship
- Maximum award not to exceed $802 per term
- Award notification by February 24, 2023

Karl S. Pister Leadership Scholarship
The Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Program Award provides up to $20,000 distributed over two years. The applicant must be applying to UC Santa Cruz as a transfer student.
Foster Youth Scholarship
Pivotal Scholarship Applicaion is open to FOSTER YOUTH from Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Deadline to Apply March 31st. More details here!
Progress Pride Scholarship!
For the first time, the Mensa Foundation seeks to award our Progress Pride Scholarship: up to two $10,000 scholarships. Scholarship is intended for college-bound, college, or graduate students at U.S. universities who identify as both BIPOC and LGBTQ—and who have a demonstrated record of positive service to the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities.
Latinos in Technology Scholarship
The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley is now accepting new applications for the Latinos in Technology Scholarship! Applications for the 2023-2024 cohort are due February 28, 2023.
Mission Promise Program
Mission College is proud to be expanding our Mission Promise Program to make college more affordable for our new, first-time college students! Eligible students will have their enrollment fees paid for their first two years AND get up to $1,000 to pay for books or other educational expenses.
