Global Issues in Context offers international viewpoints on a broad spectrum of global issues, topics and global events.

JSTOR provides peer-reviewed scholarly journals, respected literary journals, academic monographs, research reports, images, e-books, and primary sources. Articles are at least one year old.

MasterFile Complete offers a large collection of popular full-text magazines, reference books and other highly-regarded sources from the world's leading publishers. Also includes an extensive collection of photos, maps and flags.

NewsBank: Access World News Research Collection is a database of newspapers and news magazines. It offers extensive coverage and differing viewpoints from global, national, regional and local news sources, including the San Jose Mercury News and San Francisco Chronicle. 

News provides access to major U.S. regional, national, and local newspapers as well as leading titles from around the world. News also includes thousands of images, radio, and TV broadcasts, and transcripts.

Newspaper Source Plus includes more than 860 full-text newspapers, providing more than 35 million full-text articles. In addition, the database features more than 857,000 television and radio news transcripts.

New York Times

JSTOR provides peer-reviewed scholarly journals, respected literary journals, academic monographs, research reports, images, e-books, and primary sources. To limit your search to e-books, select “Books” under Item Type.

JSTOR Open Access eBooks contains more than 6,500 Open Access ebooks from 90 publishers, including Brill, Cornell University Press, De Gruyter, and University of California Press. Search will also include the JSTOR archive collection. No registration or log in is required, and there are no DRM restrictions or limits on chapter PDF downloads or printing.

O'Reilly Online Learning includes a large range of topics from the humanities and social sciences to tech and business, to hobbies and travel ebooks from more than 250 publishers along with videos, case studies, exclusive O’Reilly-produced content from world-renowned innovators and corporate leaders, expert-curated learning paths and self-assessments.

Health Source: Consumer Edition provides full text access to nearly 80 consumer health magazines and almost 130 health reference books, plus current, health-related pamphlets. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Coverage of nursing and allied health. The Chronicle of Higher Education enables full access to Chronicle.com. There is a link to the current issue at the top of the page. Click on the “Sign Up” link in the upper right to create a free account using your Mission College email address. Educators Reference Complete provides access to academic journals, reports, and many premier reference sources in the field of education.
