Mission College is committed to empowering students by providing comprehensive academic support services and well-being resources that promote student success. We ensure every student has access to essential tools, guidance, and accurate information needed to thrive in college and beyond.
Mission College supports undocumented students, including those without legal status, students with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) work authorization, and individuals eligible under AB 540, AB 130, and AB 131. This resource hub connects students, faculty, staff, and the community to trusted information, campus services, and support programs.
California Dream Act Application lets students apply for state financial aid to attend
eligible California colleges, universities, or career education programs. It is not
connected to the federal DACA program. Apply by March 2 for the upcoming school year.

DACA recipients are now eligible for Covered California.In the event of a possible Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sighting on or near campus, it is imperative that all employees immediately notify District Police and the Vice President of Student Services (VPSS).
Do not attempt to independently verify ICE presence. Any scanning or review of campus spaces to confirm ICE activity must be conducted in coordination with designated campus personnel and/or Campus Police.
If you need assistance immediately, contact District Police at (408) 299-3233. Employees must never share student information with outside parties. All requests for student information should be directed to the Office of the Chancellor, West Valley-Mission Community College District.Red Cards are an educational resource that help undocumented students understand their constitutional rights. They provide clear, lawful guidance on how to respond calmly and appropriately during interactions with law enforcement or immigration officials. The goal is to ensure all students have access to accurate, nonpartisan information that promotes safety, awareness, and respect for the law.
Mission College provides training for campus employees on how to be an ally for undocumented students. These sessions cover legal rights, available resources, and best practices for fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. By equipping our employees with the right knowledge, we aim to ensure that undocumented students feel safe, welcomed, and empowered to succeed.
