Paying for college can be a significant financial responsibility, but Mission College offers a variety of resources and options to help ease the process. Whether you're paying for tuition, fees, or other related costs, there are multiple ways to manage your payments.

Student Representation Fee	$2/term	Provides programs and services to promote student needs, holds campus-wide events, and represents all students at college and district-wide committees. High school students are not assessed this fee.
Materials Fees	$0	Mission College no longer charges instructional materials fees.
Web Processing Fee	$3/term	All students using the web for college transactions
VTA Smart Pass Fee Full-time(12 units) Up to 11.5 Units Summer (new and returning students only)	$12/Semester $10.50/Semester $10.50/Summer	The Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Smart Pass Fee, which grants unlimited rides on VTA light rail and buses throughout the Santa Clara County.
Audit Fee	$15/unit	Allows students to enroll in a course meeting the audit eligibility criteria for personal interest, but auditing does not provide course credit. (See Audit Description below).
Parking Permit: A valid student parking permit is required to be displayed to park on campus.	No cost to student if registered in a minimum of one course at time of order. Audit Description

Mission College allows students to audit a course for personal interest, but auditing does not provide course credit. To audit a course students must meet the audit eligibility criteria.

The Governing Board of the West Valley-Mission Community College District, under the provisions of Chapter 5, Section 76370 of the Education Code, hereby authorizes individuals to audit regularly scheduled credit courses, subject to the following conditions and provisions:

The student must meet college eligibility requirements for admissions to audit courses.
The student must be an active student with the West Valley Mission Community College.
The student must be in good academic standing.
The student must be otherwise ineligible to take the course she or he wishes to audit.
The current fee legislated of $ 15.00 per unit per semester shall be charged for each course audited. Students enrolled in courses to receive credit for 10 or more units shall not be charged a fee to audit three or fewer semester units per semester. Fees may be subject to legislative updates and revisions.
A student auditing a course shall not be permitted to change enrollment status in that course to receive credit for the course.
Audit registration will only be processed after the last date to add a course as posted in the class schedules and will require permission of the instructor of Record, including signature authorizing audit registration in the class.
All current and outstanding fees must be paid at the time of Audit Registration. Auditing fees are non-refundable after two weeks or 10% of class meetings of attendance.
High School students are not permitted to audit courses.

To add onto an auditable course the student must complete the Audit Form and enroll in-person at Admissions & Records. Fees for auditing a class are $15 per unit. Fees are non-refundable.

Returned Checks, Refunds, and Exemptions: What Students Need to Know

Returned Checks

If a check is returned by the bank, a hold will be placed on the student's record, along with a $15 returned check fee. Students must pay the outstanding fees within 10 business days to avoid further penalties. If the fees are not paid within this timeframe, an additional $10 fee will be applied to the student's record. The only acceptable forms of payment for these fees are cash, money order, or cashier’s check.

Refunds

To be eligible for a refund of enrollment fees, students must drop their classes by the published deadline on the course-level deadlines found on the calendar.

Dropping a class after the deadline will result in a forfeiture of enrollment fees.

Refunds for credit card payments will be processed back to the student’s original credit card. ACH payments will be refunded via check, mailed to the student's current home address on record. Refunds for check or cash payments will also be issued by check and sent to the student's current address. It is important to ensure that your home address is current to avoid delays.

For short-term classes, enrollment fees will be refunded if students drop the class before 10% of the scheduled meetings have elapsed. For short-term classes that meet five days or fewer, students must drop before the first class meeting to be eligible for a refund.
