Having a clear understanding of your Finals schedule is key to avoiding stress and
staying organized. All final exams are two hours long and will be held in the same
classroom where your class regularly met during the term. Exams start at your regularly scheduled class start time.

If your course includes both a lecture and a lab, the final exam is scheduled based on the lecture time. For classes not listed on the schedule, check directly with your instructor to confirm your exam time. In the event of an unavoidable conflict between finals, speak with your instructor as soon as possible to arrange taking the exam with another class. If a class meets one day per week, your final is on your regular meeting day and time.

What is the Common Course Numbering (CCN) System? The California Community Colleges have implemented a Common Course Numbering (CCN) system to make transferring easier! Under Assembly Bill 1111 (Berman), courses with the same content will have the same number across all community colleges in the state. This means less confusion, better planning, and a smoother transfer process! You will see the following CCNs in the Fall 2025 class schedule, with additional CCNs rolling out over the next few years.

How does this affect me? Students who have previously taken the "old" courses at Mission College will be restricted from enrolling in the corresponding CCN course. If they have completed the CCN course under a different name or number at another institution, it is their responsibility to ensure they do not duplicate coursework. This policy aligns with standard transfer credit practices. Check in with a counselor if you haven’t done so yet.
How can I tell if a course is part of the CCN system? CCN courses are easy to spot! They have a “C” in the catalog number (e.g., ENG 001B is now ENGL C1003).
Why did some subject prefixes change? Some subject area codes (like ART to ARTH) were adjusted to match what’s commonly used across California. This makes things clearer and more consistent statewide.
Will courses that aren’t part of CCN still transfer? Yes! Courses that haven’t changed will still transfer as usual under existing agreements with CSU, UC, private colleges and HBCUs. Visit www.assist.org for a complete list of transferable courses.
I completed ART 001A but my degree now lists ARTH C1100. Do I need to retake ART 001A? No! ART 001A = ARTH C1100, so your previous course still meets the requirement.
I took HIS 0017A and didn’t pass. If I take HIST C1001 and pass, will that replace my grade? Yes! HIS 017A is the same course as HIST C1001, so your new passing grade will count.
I took an honors CCN course (e.g., ENGL C1000H) at another college, but Mission doesn’t offer it. Will it count? Yes! Honors courses (with an H) count toward degree requirements and can be used in the same way as ENGL C1000.
I am following CSU GE-B and it includes ECN 001A. If I take ECON C2002, will it satisfy the same requirement? Yes! ECON C2002 satisfies the same requirements as ECN 001A on the AA/AS Graduation Requirements, CSU GE-B, IGETC as well as the Cal-GETC. However, other changes have occurred so please refer to your degree audit prior to enrollment.

What Are Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) Classes?
ZTC classes have no textbook-related costs.
You won’t need to purchase textbooks, workbooks, lab manuals, readers, or specialized software (like online homework systems).
These classes typically use free online textbooks.
Note: Some classes may still have material fees for items like calculators, lab goggles, or art supplies.
What Are Low Textbook Cost (LTC) Classes?
LTC classes use textbooks that cost $50 or less, available through the Mission College Bookstore.
