Join us for our annual Noche de Colegio each Spring Term, a special evening designed
for prospective Latinx/e students, current Mission College students, and families
to explore pathways to higher education.
Through hands-on workshops and activities, students will foster connections to stay
rooted in community and learn about available resources so students can rise in excellence
as they take the next steps toward a brighter future. Noche de Colegio takes place in Spring Term.

Puente: A nationally recognized transfer-preparation program that empowers students through dedicated counseling, writing instruction, and mentorship focused on Latino culture and literature.
MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement): Provides academic counseling, peer tutoring, and dedicated study space to support educationally and economically disadvantaged students transferring into calculus-based STEM fields.
TRIO: A federally funded program that offers personalized advising, tutoring, and transfer guidance to first-generation students, income-eligible students, and students with disabilities.
EOPS (Extended Opportunity Programs & Services): A state-funded program offering specialized counseling, textbook assistance, priority registration, and study resources to help historically underserved and at-promise students achieve their academic goals.
Celebrando Excelencia is an annual celebration honoring all Latinx/e students who are graduating, transferring, or completing a certificate. Celebrando Excelencia was created 6 years ago to celebrate our students’ accomplishments while honoring our heritage in both English and Spanish.
In 2004, Mission College was designated a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) by the U.S. Department of Education, marking a significant milestone for the college. This recognition is granted to institutions that serve a Hispanic/Latinx student population of at least 25%.
Mission College is proud to put the servingness in Hispanic service institution by offering support systems, resources, and community to increase the positive experiences of our Latinx/e students and so that they can find success.
