Learn about a career as a Nursing Assistant. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to attend a Zoom Information Session to
learn about working as a nursing assistant and how our training program at Mission
College works. A Zoom link will be provided here prior to the meeting.

Start your career. Qualified applicants will be accepted on a lottery system.
Required Before Classes Begin
Accepted applicants must meet the following requirements before the program start
date.
Attendance at a mandatory orientation meeting on Zoom on May 28 at 7 p.m.
Physical Exam/Health Clearance to include tuberculosis screening, immunizations, and
physical and emotional fitness for work as a nurse assistant.Document submission deadline isAugust 3.
Criminal background check. Appointments for LiveScan fingerprinting will be available
August 19, 20, and 21. If you have been convicted of any offense other than a minor violation, you may
not qualify to be certified as a Nurse Assistant. Each case is reviewed and determined
by the California Department of Public Health.
Purchase of required books, skills kit (order deadline August 7), and uniform.
Attendance at a mandatory on-campus meeting on August 31 at 11 a.m. to complete state forms
