Mission College Invites Community to Monster Dash & Bash 5K

Mission College kicks off registration for its annual Monster Dash & Bash 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser, a family-friendly, Halloween-themed event scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026. The race winds through the Santa Clara campus to raise funds for student scholarships and promote higher education accessibility in Silicon Valley.

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA - Mission College has officially announced registration is open for its annual Monster Dash & Bash 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026. Winding directly through the heart of the beautiful Santa Clara campus , the family-friendly, Halloween-themed event brings the community together to support higher education accessibility in Silicon Valley.


"The Monster Dash & Bash isn't just a race; it's an embodiment of our collective vision for student empowerment. When you participate, you're not only running a race, you're running alongside the dreams of our students," Mission College President Dr. Seher Awan said.

Registration is now open with discounted early-bird rates and includes an official commemorative T-shirt, race bib, drawstring bag, finisher medal, and one complimentary ticket to the post-race Beer Garden (21+) or for a non-alcoholic beverage. All event proceeds fund student scholarships.

For many students in Silicon Valley, juggling classes and work while facing the rising cost of living is an uphill battle. Scholarships offer an essential lifeline—turning educational goals into attainable realities.

Your partnership and event proceeds funds student scholarships, removing financial hurdles and opening doors for resilient, hardworking learners across our campus. Registration & Early-Bird Pricing

Participants who sign up early can lock in discounted registration tiers. All entries include an official commemorative race T-shirt, a timed race bib, a Mission College drawstring bag, a finisher medal, and one complimentary drink ticket valid for the Beer Garden (ages 21+) or a non-alcoholic beverage.

  • 5K Run (Ages 18 & Over): $35 through September 9; $40 from September 10 through October 9; $45 on Race Day.
  • 5K Run (Ages 17 & Under): $30 through October 9; $35 on Race Day.
  • Kids Trick or Trot Run: $25 through October 9; $30 on Race Day.

Race Day Schedule (Saturday, October 10):

  • 7:30 a.m. – Check-in & Race Day Registration Opens
  • 8:45 a.m. – Kids Trick or Trot Race Starts
  • 9:00 a.m. – 5K Race Starts
  • 9:15 a.m. – 5K Joggers/Walkers Wave
  • 9:30 a.m. – Post-Race Activities & Beer Garden Open
  • 10:30 a.m. – Awards Ceremony

Early packet pickup will be available on Friday, October 9, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mission College Welcome Center (Student Engagement Center, First Floor) for anyone registered by noon on Wednesday, October 7.

Strollers are permitted on the course. To protect participants, pets are not allowed, with the exception of trained service animals. Local organizations interested in corporate sponsorship opportunities can also view partnership tiers online.
