FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Mission College is set to kick off the Fall Term on Saturday, August 29, 2026, welcoming new and returning students with expanded resources designed to ensure higher education adapts to their unique lives and goals.

Built around the guiding theme "Your Mission, Your Way," the college is redefining accessibility by recognizing that no two educational journeys look alike. Whether students are juggling full-time jobs, raising families, returning to the classroom after years away, or preparing for direct transfer to top four-year universities, Mission College adapts to their lives rather than asking them to fit a rigid mold.

Through tailored degree maps, day, evening, and hybrid HyFlex scheduling, and vital basic needs support, the initiative ensures every student has the tools and flexibility to define success on their own terms and achieve it at their own pace.

To make college achievable for every learner, Mission College continues to invest in vital wraparound support. Eligible students this term can access free tuition, free campus meals, free on-campus childcare assistance, and direct help with basic needs.

"At Mission College, we believe that financial challenges should never stand in the way of educational dreams," said Dr. Seher Awan, President of Mission College. "By pairing dynamic academic programs with comprehensive support including free tuition, meals, and childcare, we are removing barriers so our students can focus entirely on achieving their goals and building bright futures across Silicon Valley."

Mission College serves communities across Santa Clara, Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Alviso, and parts of San Jose and Sunnyvale. Through personalized academic pathways, the college offers:

  • Over 100 degree and certificate pathways aligned with regional workforce needs
  • Hands-on, practical career training to build resume-ready industry skills
  • Flexible course scheduling, including in-person, online, hybrid, and HyFlex options
