Bio

Raiida’s journey in the field of education began as a teacher for grades Kindergarten-4th. She also taught High School English to at-promise, young adults, as well as ELL to immigrant students at San Jose Job Corps. Raiida’s passion for education started at a young age when as a child she used to play school with her friends, and she would assume the role of the teacher! Working at the college level was always her dream, and she was thrilled to begin her work at Mission College at the end of 2017 as the Transfer Alliance Coordinator for the HSI-STEMLink project. In this role, Raiida helps in establishing Mission College partnership with CSU East Bay through working closely with STEM Faculty, counselors and transfer experts from both sites. She also works closely with STEM students in providing them with opportunities for mentorship and/or research & internships in the field.
