Raiida’s professional background is in education. She spent a total of 8 years in the classroom where she taught students ranging in age from 10 -25 years old. She left the classroom in 2015 with the intention of staying in the education field but wanting to hone her skills in program development. To that end, she managed the internship program for the Office of Education at NASA/Ames for three cycles, then moved on to be a career counselor for the engineering school at San Jose State University.
In her new role, Raiida will help establish our Mission College partnership with CSU East Bay, working closely with STEM Faculty, counselors and transfer experts from both sites, plus oversee “transfer-bridge” experiences for STEM majors.
