The event was about more than just the thrill of the race. All funds raised will go directly to student scholarships, helping Mission College students achieve their academic and career goals.

“We’re thrilled to see so many participants and sponsors supporting student success," said Dr. Seher Awan, President of Mission College. "Events like this strengthen our connections with the community and ensure that we can continue providing scholarships and resources to empower our students.”

The event featured something for everyone—whether running for a personal best or walking to enjoy the festive atmosphere. The Trick-or-Trot Kids’ Race was a special highlight, with children racing through the course in their costumes, cheered on by family and friends.

“The sense of community at this event was heartwarming," said Connor Keese, Director of Outreach and Recruitment. "Every participant, volunteer, and donor played a role in supporting our students’ dreams, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”

The Monster Dash & Bash also showcased the college’s strong partnerships with local organizations. A huge thank-you goes out to our generous sponsors—Common Good Executive Strategies, Gilbane, Kylli, Excite Credit Union, and the Santa Clara Firefighters Foundation—whose support made this event possible. Their contributions reflect a shared commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for local students.

Mission College continues to engage with the community through events like these, emphasizing the importance of education and student support. The goal of the Monster Dash & Bash is to raise money for scholarships, ensuring students have access to the financial resources needed to complete their education and thrive in Silicon Valley and beyond.

The college is also about to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025 and has scheduled many more events like this for the community to attend. For more information, visit MissionCollege.edu/50.
