Transfer Process Help to Success
Jake found the process of planning his classes, organizing his semesters, managing his time, and preparing for his transfer to be overwhelming. Navigating the transfer application process added another layer of stress.
However, thanks to the support and guidance of Theresa Lawhead from Mission College's Counseling Department, he was able to manage everything with confidence. Theresa helped ease his anxiety, walking him through each step and ensuring he stayed on the right path.
Now, Jake is proud to be a graduate from San Jose State University, a milestone he credits to the help he received at Mission. Among his favorite courses, Dr. Bob’s EGR 10 class had a significant impact on him. When he began doubting his path as an engineering student, this course reassured him. It taught him what it truly means to be an engineer and the dedication required to succeed in the field.
Beyond the coursework, Jake enjoyed collaborating with classmates who brought diverse skill sets to the table. Seeing everyone’s final projects was both inspiring and rewarding. His experience in EGR 10 sparked a newfound passion, leading him to explore computer programming and electronics in his free time.
