Summer Concert Series Performers Announced

Mission College is thrilled to invite the community to its annual Summer Concert Series in 2025!

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Get ready for a season of sensational live music as Mission College proudly presents its annual Summer Concert Series! As we celebrate our 50th anniversary all summer long in 2025, the community is invited to gather in the Central Plaza for an unforgettable lineup of free, outdoor performances featuring a mix of jazz, salsa, blues, and more.


With performances from award-winning artists and vibrant local bands, attendees can bring blankets and chairs, enjoy delicious food truck offerings, and experience the magic of live music under the evening sky. Whether you love the smooth sounds of jazz, the energy of salsa, or the rhythms of blues and swing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Come and enjoy a season filled with music, camaraderie, and entertainment in our Central Plaza, where the nights will be enlivened by free, live performances under the stars.

Concert Schedule and Band Details:

  • June 4: Tony Lindsay (Jazz & R&B) Grammy-winning vocalist Tony Lindsay, best known for his work as the lead singer of Santana, brings his signature smooth vocals and soulful jazz and R&B sound to the stage. His dynamic performances captivate audiences with rich melodies and timeless grooves. 
  • June 18: Edgardo & Candela (Salsa) Edgardo & Candela is a high-energy salsa band that delivers infectious Latin rhythms and electrifying performances. Led by renowned percussionist Edgardo Cambón, the group blends traditional and contemporary salsa, keeping audiences dancing all night long.
  • July 16 : Orquesta Dharma (Latin Jazz & Salsa) A fusion of Latin jazz and salsa, Orquesta Dharma delivers vibrant, horn-driven arrangements with dynamic rhythms. Their passionate performances celebrate the rich traditions of Afro-Cuban and Latin American music, bringing energy and soul to every show.
  • July 30: Iko Ya Ya (R&B, Blues, Zydeco & Cajun) Bringing the spirit of New Orleans to the West Coast, Iko Ya Ya blends R&B, blues, zydeco, and Cajun music for a lively, foot-stomping good time. Their infectious energy and mix of classic and modern sounds make for an unforgettable experience.
  • August 6: Lavay Smith & The Red Hot Skillet Lickers (Swing, Blues & R&B) One of the top swing and blues bands in the nation, Lavay Smith & The Red Hot Skillet Lickers channel the golden era of jazz and R&B with vintage flair. Featuring sultry vocals and a powerhouse band, their performances transport audiences to the smoky jazz clubs of the past.

The June 4 concert with Tony Lindsay will be held in collaboration with the City of Santa Clara and is a kickoff to both the college's Summer Concert Series and the city's Concerts in the Park program.
