Why can’t I view my courses on Canvas?
This usually happens because the instructor has not uploaded coursework yet or has
not added you to their roster. First, check your registration to make sure you are
officially enrolled in the class. If you recently registered, allow up to 24 hours
for the course to sync to your Canvas dashboard.
How can I sign in to Canvas?
Sign in to My Mission Portal using your student email and password. Once signed in, locate the Quick Links bar
and select Canvas to access your courses and coursework.
Why am I not able to add classes?
Once the term starts, you can no longer waitlist for or add a class directly through
open web registration. Instead, contact the professor for the course to request an
add code, which is required to add the class until the census date.
How do I use an add code (especially if on the waitlist)?
Go to the Registration tab in your student portal. If you are currently waitlisted for the class, you must drop the waitlisted course
first, then re-enter the class using its CRN. An add-code field will appear where
you can enter the code. Click Add, verify that your class status shows as Pending,
and click the red Submit button to complete registration. If the add-code tab does
not appear, submit an ADD/DROP Form directly to the Admissions Office.
Where is my class located?
Sign in to your portal, select My Schedule, and choose Schedule Details. Under the Buildings section, check
the building abbreviation and room number (e.g., SEC, GC, BT, VK). For example, SEC
210 indicates Student Engagement Center, second floor, room 210.
How do I access campus service links inside Canvas?
Log in to My Mission Portal and click Canvas on the Quick Links bar. Once inside Canvas, click Courses on the
left navigation menu, then select the course card featuring the book icon labeled
Student Services.
