Complete the following steps before you register for classes if you are here to do one of the following: 

  • Obtain an Associate Degree or Certificate
  • Transfer to a university to complete a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Improve your Math, English or Reading skills
  • Discover career interests or prepare for a new career
  • Explore and select a major

Steps to apply 1 through 6


STEP 1: Apply for Admission

 



STEP 2: Take the Assessment Tests

  • Assessment tests are in Math, English, Reading and ESL. Go to the Assessment Center, Room E1-101 in the Main Building. Office hours and sample tests are available on the Assessment Center page.
  • If you have completed classes or tests elsewhere and would like them considered as an alternative to the assessment test, visit the Prerequisite page.

 

STEP 3: Attend orientation

  • Register for COU 000A - Orientation to Mission College or COU 005, 023 or 145B.
  • During the orientation students will receive assistance with selecting courses and create an Abbreviated Educational Plan (AEP).

 

 

STEP 4: Register for Classes

 

 

 

 

STEP 5: Create an Educational Plan

  • Schedule a 30-minute counseling appointment at the Counseling Office, Main Building E1-301 or at the Counseling page to identify appropriate courses that will help you reach your educational goal.
