Anh-Tuyet  Tran

Associate Faculty, Chemistry

Anh-Tuyet Tran has been an instructor for the Chemistry Department at Mission College since 2007. In addition to teaching Chemistry at Mission College, Anh has been an instructor in Chemistry and Biochemistry at San Jose State University since 2005. Prior to her teaching career, Anh was a graduate student and teaching assistant at San Jose State University as well as at the University of California, Davis, and a postdoctoral researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Anh’s primary area of expertise is applying biophysical methods to investigate the molecular causes of diseases. Her research focus was on method development for the synthesis and studies of protein mutants as well as adducts formed between DNA and mutagenic and/or carcinogenic heterocyclic amines.
