Jorge Murillo is the new Workforce Experience Coordinator for the HSI STEM project. Jorge was born and raised in South San Francisco and is a first-generation college graduate. He discovered his passion for educational equity and access early on in his career as a student assistant at Skyline College and decided to pursue a career in higher education.
After transferring and earning his bachelors in Sociology at UC Davis, Jorge returned to the Bay Area and has worked supporting low-income students and student-parents in the EOPS/CARE and CalWORKs Program at Skyline College and more recently, City College of San Francisco. When he’s not at work, Jorge enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and listening to podcasts.
