How to Enroll in an Online Course

Interested in taking an online course at Mission College? We offer a variety of online courses that you can take to complete a degree, certificate, or for transfer to Cal State or University of California. Getting started is simple if you complete the following steps. For information about online learning and the computer system requirements, please read the Student FAQs.

  1. Check the schedule of online courses.
  2. Apply for admission to Mission College.
  3. Register for courses with MC Portal.
  4. Purchase your textbooks.
  5. Review the information available on the ANGEL Student Support page, including the Student FAQs


What is ANGEL Learning?

ANGEL Learning is a Web-based course management system adopted by Mission College for all courses. ANGEL provides a safe, password protected, virtual environment for students and instructors. When you log into the system, you will see a listing of courses in which you are currently enrolled. ANGEL includes all of the course materials and communications resources you will need to be successful in your online courses. Note that you will not have access to ANGEL until the first day of the semester.

How to Login to ANGEL

  1. Go to the Angel Login Page.
  2. Type your Username and Password in the appropriate fields.
    Note: Your username is your Student ID number. You can find your Student ID number on the front of your student ID card. Your password is birth date (mmddyy). For example, if your birthdate is March 10, 1984, then your password is 031084.
  3. Click the Log On button.
