Classified Equity Certification Program (ECP)

 

Origin Story

In August 2020, five classified professionals came together following the Classified Senate Board Retreat. The retreat highlighted the need for a space where classifieds could convene for dialogue, especially in a remote work environment. This led to the creation of the “Creating Spaces” series, which began in November 2020 and continued with a repeat session in January 2021. The series ran from February to May 2021.  

The team evolved and move in a new direction.  In 2022, the team began work on the Classified Equity Certification Program. The trio of Kristal Dela Cruz, Lusyna Narvaez, and Vianey Topete led this effort, working collaboratively with the Office of the President, Executive Council, and the Office of Student Equity Success. The first cohort began in Fall 2023 and concluded with a symposium in December.
