Originally from Taiwan, Rong Ann (pronounced Ron Ann) has always been deeply interested in mental health and wellness. She pursued a degree in Human Development and Family Studies before coming to the U.S. to earn her master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction (Early Childhood Education) at The University of Texas at Austin.

Throughout her career, she has worked as a teacher, curriculum developer, project coordinator, children’s magazine editor, and assistant school administrator. As a non-native English speaker, Rong Ann prioritizes empathy and curiosity in her work.

She enjoys collaborating with diverse teams and students to develop meaningful learning programs and transform data into actionable insights. A year ago, she taught herself UX Design Research, further strengthening her ability to design user-centered experiences.

Now, she is excited to embark on a new journey in Workforce Innovation at Mission College as Program Specialist – Apprenticeship Coordinator, supporting the Childhood Development Apprenticeship Program and other Apprenticeship Programs as the college expands its Apprenticeship Footprint.

There was a period when it was popular to put a small crystal on your teeth. It was originally a nice decoration, but others thought I had a sesame seed on my tooth, haha!
