Free eGift Cards to Buy Food
To support our students and families during the pandemic, Mission College has launched a Food Assistance program. More resources available to the students during the pandemic are listed at missioncares.missioncollege.edu.
The Food Assistance team coordinates bi- weekly distributions of FREE eGift cards to Walmart.
To be eligible, Mission students must be enrolled in at least three units during the Summer 2021 semester and complete the Food Request Form each week by the given deadline.
Students who qualify will receive:
- $60.00 Walmart eGift cards
*Due to the limited amount of funding, distribution will be on a first come, first serve basis. Distribution dates are subject to change based on the needs of the program.*
In addition, Mission College has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley to host a drive-thru food distribution every Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in parking lot A.

Q: When will I receive my eGift cards?
A: Please refer to the distribution schedule chart above. Students who qualify will receive their eGift the date specified for the corresponding week.
Q: How long does the program last?
A: The Food Assistance Summer Program will last through the end of the Summer 2021 semester. The college will determine whether to continue the program based on funding.
Q: Can I request additional e-gift cards?
A: Unfortunately, no, but you may re-apply for future distributions.
