Free eGift Cards to Buy Food

To support our students and families during the pandemic, Mission College has launched a Food Assistance program. More resources available to the students during the pandemic are listed at

Request Assistance Form

The Food Assistance team coordinates bi- weekly distributions of FREE eGift cards to Walmart and Subway or UberEATS.

To be eligible, Mission students must be enrolled in at least three units during the Spring 2021 semester and complete the Food Request Form each week by the given deadline.

Students who qualify will receive:

  • $40.00 Walmart eGift cards
  • $20.00 Subway eGift card OR $20.00 UberEATS eGift Cards

In addition, Mission College has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley to host a drive-thru food distribution every Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in parking lot A.

Q: When is the Food Request Form due?

A: Please refer to the deadline schedule chart above. Deadline to submit is 9:00 am on each Friday listed. 

Q: When will I receive my eGift cards?

A: Please refer to the distribution schedule chart above. Students who qualify will receive their eGift the date specified for the corresponding week.

Q: How long does the program last?

A: The Food Assistance Program will last through the end of the Spring 2021 semester. The college will determine whether to continue the program in Fall 2021 based on funding. 

Q: Can I request additional e-gift cards?

A: Unfortunately, no, but you may re-apply for future distributions.
