SANTA CLARA, Calif.-- Mission College is co-hosting a Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing Training course on September 7 and 8 in a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Sumitomo Electric Lightwave.
With a limit of 30 students, participants will learn how to install and repair fiber optics and take part in a career networking session at the end of the two days. Students who complete the course could potentially be hired from the event.

The course will take place in the Student Engagement Center, Room 203 on September 7 and 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A networking event will occur in the Central Plaza from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Breakfast, lunch, drinks, and snacks will be provided throughout the two days, catered by former Mission College hospitality student Rhonda Manning, who founded House of Soul.
