SANTA CLARA, Calif.—Mission College Dean Brian Miller was one of 30 Community College administrators who completed the Administration 201: Transformational Leadership Program. The program is meant to train the next generation of future leaders within the State system.
Miller has been a Dean at the Santa Clara campus since July 2016, currently focusing on humanities, social sciences and fine arts. Miller previously spent nine years (2007-16) at Emporia State in the History Department after earning his Ph.D at Ole Miss and Bachelor’s at Penn State, both in History.
An avid Civil War historian, Miller has edited articles and books on that subject.
Most recently Miller was a contestant on the revival of Press Your Luck with Elizabeth Banks.
The Admin 201 program was launched in 2010 to train the next generation of leaders. Candidates were vetted for their potential future leadership potential and are selected from a pool of statewide candidates.
