Mission First Scholarship at Mission College

The Mission First Scholarship program is designed to help our graduating high school seniors from Santa Clara Unified and beyond make a smooth transition to Mission College. Mission First Scholars receive:

  • $1,000 for their first year at Mission College paid out over two semesters
  • Designated Orientation courses to help get them started on the right path
  • Follow up support services to assist them through the enrollment process
  • An invitation to our summer kickoff event to network with fellow Mission First Scholars
  • VTA EcoPass to help with transportation costs

Requirements

To be eligible for the Mission First Scholarship, students:

  • Must be a 2018 high school graduate from Santa Clara Unified School District or from a school within Santa Clara County
  • Must be entering Mission College during their first year after high school
  • Must enroll in twelve or more units during the Fall 2018 and Spring 2018 semester or take a full-time equivalent as determined by Mission College Disability Support Programs and Services
  • Must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative high school GPA
  • Must apply for the Mission College Scholarship by July 1, 2018
  • Must submit a final high school transcript by July 16, 2018
