EOPS - Apply

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for EOPS you must meet all five of the following requirements:

  • Be a California Resident
  • Be enrolled full-time (12 units or more)
  • Not have completed more than 70 units of degree applicable college level course work
  • Qualify for the Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGFW)
  • Be educationally disadvantaged according to program criteria

*In addition, to be eligible for an EOPS grant you need to have unmet need per financial aid regulations.

How to Apply

New students must follow these steps prior to joining the EOPS Program:

  • Apply to Mission College
  • Take Mission College Placement Tests
  • Register for an Orientation course
  • Complete application for the Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGW)
  • Apply to EOPS by downloading and completing the EOPS application or come in to our office to pick one up in person
  • Submit application by mail or by turning it in to our front desk (please be advised that our fax is not currently working)

EOPS is funded to serve a limited number of students and reserves the right to cease accepting applications when that number is reached. 

If you are participating in EOPS and are receiving TANF  or CalWORKs, consider applying for the CARE program. Get the CARE application from our office in E1-403.
