Karen Yoder has over 20 years of experience in the athletics/physical education realm and is currently the Athletic Director of the Calistoga Joint Unified School District in Calistoga, CA, where she oversees 26 Athletic programs. In addition, Karen holds a lectureship position in the Physical Education Department at the University of California, Davis, where she teaches a wide variety of classes including: Healthful Living, Team Chemistry, Lifetime Fitness, Stretch/Flex, Ultimate Frisbee, Weight Training, Aerobic Swimming, Racquetball, and Aerobic Running/Walking. She is also a certified Title IX Coordinator and Administrator with ATIXA as well as a certified Athletic Administrator with NIAAA. Prior to her current position, Karen served as a Community College and 4-year University Head Softball Coach and Physical Education Instructor. She has received Softball Coach of the Year honors on three separate occasions: UC Davis in 2010; Napa Valley College in 2002, and CSU Hayward in 1999. Perhaps most important, she is extremely excited to join Mission College and work closely with our Kinesiology and Athletics faculty and staff.
Karen Yoder received a B.S. in Kinesiology from CSU Hayward in 1996 and an M.S. in Kinesiology from CSU Hayward in 1999.
